Professor Christopher Lee is currently leading a new interim program in South Africa for three weeks with Professor William Bissell of the Anthropology and Sociology Department at Lafayette. Based at the University of Cape Town, they have guided a group of nineteen students to different museums and sites in Cape Town such as Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, the District Six Museum, the informal settlement of Khayelitsha, and the top of Table Mountain. They are currently in Johannesburg visiting Soweto, the Cradle of Humankind archaeological site, and the Apartheid Museum. Check out photos of the program on Instagram at
