Special Presentation by Cheikh Babou Department of History, University of Pennsylvania

Invited Speaker Susan Wild U.S. Representative for the 7th Congressional District of Pennsylvania

This day-long symposium will gather faculty, staff, and students from Cedar Crest College, DeSales University, Lafayette College, Lehigh University, Moravian College, and Muhlenberg College with other Lehigh Valley residents who share connections to and interests in the African continent. With visiting speakers, panel and round-table discussions, poster sessions, and a reception to follow, the symposium will help participants to broaden their networks and better understand how African societies are changing in the 21st century, and how we and our institutions can pursue more mutually beneficial forms of engagement with our counterparts in Africa.
