Megan Deacon’21 is a Search Coordinator at Dore Partnership, a boutique executive search firm based in New York, which she joined in the summer of 2021. Megan is originally from the UK and came to the US for college through The Sutton Trust US Scholarship program. She always knew she wanted to be a History major and was drawn to Lafayette because of its phenomenal liberal arts program. Megan uses the analytical and critical thinking skills she learned from her History courses in her everyday work at Dore Partnership. She credits Lafayette and the professors in Ramer History House for her ability to adapt comfortably to working life in corporate America. Megan also enjoyed her time building the connection between college students and the History Department through events and social media during her time as the History Department’s Activities and Outreach Coordinator

From her time at Lafayette, Megan is most proud of her History honors thesis “Through Another’s Eyes: Crafting a Global Perspective of the French Revolution through the Journeys of American and British Travelers,” advised by Professor Sequin. In her graduating year, Megan was the co-winner of the Class of 1910 award.

In the summer of 2022, Megan will return to the UK and looks forward to staying connected with her peers from Lafayette.
